Les Chauffeurs et Rémy (LCDR) is committed to reducing its environmental impact and integrating social considerations into all its activities. The renewal of the vehicle fleet, the company's main asset, is no exception to the rule. LCDR wanted to make optimization of its carbon footprint a central element of its renewal plan, and so drew on the expertise of La Fabrique Circulaire.
The aim of the collaboration with La Fabrique Circulaire is to support LCDR in the study of the renewal plan by providing an approach based on environmental impacts, including an interactive analysis tool that evolves with vehicle use.
An initial data collection phase analyzed the use (frequency, distances covered) of each of the 66 vehicles used by LCDR employees.
This inventory was the starting point for developing a fleet renewal and electrification strategy, in line with the characteristics of the vehicles and their future use. This strategy was backed up by an environmental quantification of the renewal scenario, enabling LCDR to plan the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from the entire fleet.
