Eskenazi SA, a family business based in Carouge and specialising in the manufacture of micro-cutting tools for precision mechanics, is already strongly committed to optimising its energy and materials consumption. Winner of the SIG Energy Transition Trophy in 2020, the SME wanted to go further by measuring the overall environmental impact of its activity.
The Fabrique Circulaire provided a structured methodological framework for measuring potential improvements in the use of materials, energy and water. The support provided made it possible to measure the environmental effectiveness of the measures already put in place to optimise networks, the use of machines and the use of recycled materials.
The support provided to La Fabrique Circulaire confirms that the SME is highly effective in managing its carbon impact, consolidating its position as a champion in its sector. What's more, the assessment of the most significant emission items has enabled Eskenazi SA to identify and take action on new practical ways of saving resources, to further improve the site's performance in terms of its operations and use of materials and energy.
